The 2019 VeloCity routes are available below. We’re still planning for 2020 and these routes are subject to change.
Experience downtown Atlanta like never before on this closed-road course that will take you from the field of Mercedes-Benz Stadium, past Centennial Olympic Park, down Peachtree Street, and around the State Capitol. While this is a great route for first-time cyclists, families and those looking for a fun ride to support Grady - you will encounter a few of Atlanta’s “famous” hills.
There will be one rest-stop at approximately the half-way point of this route.
This is a great distance for cyclists of all abilities and will head southwest from Georgia International Plaza on the outbound roads as the 100- and 50- mile courses. Directional signage and course marshals will steer you along the way, and you will encounter a few modest climbs that will challenge your endurance. Rest stops will be found approximately every 10 miles.
The is the perfect route for regular cyclists seeking a moderate challenge. It will take you 62 miles, following the 100-mile course for 26 miles, where you begin a northern loop and then rejoin the 100-mile return course at mile 33. This well-marked course through Atlanta’s south side will include a few good climbs, with approximately 2,900 feet of vertical gain. Rest stops will be found approximately every 10 miles.
This challenging course includes both city streets and country roads with 5,000 feet of vertical gain and minimal traffic. Heading southwest from downtown Atlanta towards Chattahoochee Hills, the turn back north is just before Palmetto. An added challenge will be our KOM and QOM timed hill climb! Rest stops will be found approximately every 10 miles.
- Support and Gear (SAG) vehicles will track riders on all four routes and provide support as needed.
- Rest stops will include hydration, snacks, mechanical support and restrooms.
Thanks to our partner, Vibe Ride, you’ll enjoy great music, challenging routines and maybe even a surprise instructor or two throughout the day. So get ready to clip in, ride to the rhythm and support Grady!
